Hey folks! I’m Natalie

I’ve been pursuing personalized productivity methods that work for my brain, business, and lifestyle for the past six years. And let me tell ya, there’s a lot out there—but not a lot that felt sustainable or realistic (trust me, I tried ‘em all).

Creative small business owner, professional photographer, and owner of an ADHD brain

So I did what all successful creative entrepreneurs do —I innovated.

Completely flipping what we know about productivity, focus, and balance on its head—creating feel-good business systems that make reaching your next level a reality without sacrificing your life outside of business.

Because here’s what I know about small business owners—we’re scrappy, determined, and resilient. But we’re also all made a little differently—and it’s time our approaches to productivity were, too.

What I Believe In

A few key pillars I live by

We’ve all heard about work-life balance, right? But here’s the kicker—it doesn’t exist because, in today’s world, work is in our pockets. Instead of drawing a definitive line between who you are in life versus your business, work-life effectiveness clearly defines the roles you want to succeed at (business owner, friend, sister, partner) and allows your focus to shift between them when needed. No judgment, no shame, no guilt. You can automate this process by leveraging technology and personalized systems, giving you back time and energy to pour into whatever you need most.

Work-life effectiveness

Most traditional productivity methods don’t work for me because of my ADHD. So I’ve developed my own unique approach, utilizing technology and systems. This is exactly what personalized productivity is—tailoring the approach, methods, and systems to the individual’s business, brain, and goals because there’s no use in trying to fit inside a box that wasn’t made for you.

Personalized Productivity

More than a buzzword, self-care is integral to productivity. When you take time to slow down, be intentional, show yourself kindness, create routines that foster peace, and set firm boundaries, you’re helping yourself healthily cope with daily stressors. And when your brain and body are cared for and calm, your work, focus, and productivity improve.

Self-Care

Effective systems allow us to automate the parts of our life and business that previously soaked up much of our time, energy, and talents. But just like with productivity hacks, systems should be personalized and tailored to the individual. I believe in creating and implementing systems that feel good to use and a willingness to innovate when they’re no longer aligned.

Feel-Good Business Systems

When you build your life and business around core values and beliefs, you can drastically reduce your daily stress and increase your sense of agency and personal power. Not only does this foster creativity and inspiration, but it allows you to be more present and effective in all areas of your life.

Intentional Living

Did you know roughly 12% of entrepreneurs have ADHD? This statistic both shocked and excited me, proving that I wasn’t alone and that there was a path to success for brains like mine.

And while a lot of what I teach, and the systems that I share, are founded on my ADHD, it’s important to note that they can work for all sorts of brains, learning preferences, and business owners.

A Quick Note on ADHD

So if you’re the proud owner of an ADHD brain like me, I want you to know a few things.

This is a safe space. I see you, and I get it. If it feels like certain routines and habits are easy for others but impossible for you, that’s because they are. And that’s okay! You’re not a failure; you’re just wired a little differently—and everything you learn here is made with that in mind.

But I also want to remind you that I’m not a doctor, and nothing here should be taken as medical advice. If you haven’t already, I highly encourage you to get a proper diagnosis, develop a management plan with your medical team, and do your research. The more you learn about yourself, the better you can understand how to best support your success.

Proud owner of an ADHD brain

My relationship with ADHD began before I knew it existed. The first sign was probably during my college years when I was taking every class under the sun and putting in endless hours only to walk away with one degree to show for it. (And it wasn’t in pre-med like I initially thought it would be.)

I ended up totally changing my direction and graduating with a landscape architecture degree. Which, honestly, I’m not mad about. Sure, I’m not spending my days designing outdoor spaces, but in my career as a professional wedding photographer, I lean into those skills a ton.

This is where things get interesting.

More of the story

After accidentally falling in love with photography, I channeled all my energy and time into opening and scaling my business. And while it was pretty much an immediate “success,” there was a lot I struggled with.

Traditional business systems didn’t work for me. As much as I wanted them to, daily productivity habits touted by influencers and coaches never stuck.

My executive functioning was nada. The mundane, tedious tasks like bookkeeping and organization honestly scared me—because I felt ill-equipped to handle them. My business became my greatest source of anxiety and overwhelm, and I had no idea how to change that.

This pivotal moment changed everything for me. I instantly gained a deeper understanding of myself and was able to find coping mechanisms and solutions to so many of my everyday problems. I felt immense relief because this meant I wasn’t a failure, I was simply built differently.

Cue getting diagnosed with ADHD.

Instead of trying to work and function like someone with a neurotypical brain, I allowed myself to explore and experiment with what works for me (guilt-free).

I put in tons of hours taking courses, testing platforms, and implementing different habits and routines to see what stuck. I read shelves of books, listened to countless podcasts, and got my hands on as much research as I could.

As a result, I tackled those business tasks that once felt scary, and to my surprise and delight, they no longer felt like insurmountable mountains.

In fact, getting them done quicker and better freed up more of my life for creativity and self-care. My business began to grow rapidly. My anxiety was more manageable. And my personal life instantly improved.

All this to say—feel-good business systems paired with intentional living (and a much-needed diagnosis) changed my life forever. And I’m a firm believer that they can change yours, too. So please, come in, shake your shoes off, and stay awhile—we’ve got a beautiful life to build.

xoxo, natalie
